A “split reel” is a film reel with moving images in two halves which, when assembled, contain a specific length of film wrapped on a plastic core.
By using a split reel, film can be shipped or processed in a lighter and smaller form than film on a “fixed” reel.

Please note! The nylon screw connection can be damaged when tightened too hard. Should this happen, this nylon part can be ordered separately (PP-0323).
