Proces

The supplied disks are transferred 1:1 to modern media such as a hard disk, SSD, USB stick. We can also make the files available (free of charge) via the Internet.

If desired, we can perform data conversion as an option where possible. For example with DVDs, we can transfer the old MPEG2 files (VIDEO_TS folder) to the modern H.264 format that is playable on almost all equipment.

Frequently asked questions – Digitizing floppies

When copying large files I get an error message

The problem when a large video file cannot be copied is usually that the file system of the hard disk or USB stick is still in FAT32 format. Files larger than 4GB cannot be stored on a FAT32 volume. Formatting the flash drive in the exFAT or NTFS file system will solve this problem. You can find more information about this:
