You have to attach the original disc and rubber ring to this new gear (for example by drilling three holes and fixing it with screws).
The projector will run without the rubber disc. The rubber disc activates the loop-reformer but in normal operation this is not necessary.
It can be done without.

Elmo XP-series, LX-series, F-1 – Double gear – 55,8 + 45,1 mm (PP-0227)
